The BWF Stair Scheme is the only accreditation and certification scheme of its kind in the UK. Ranging from domestic, general access and fire protected general access stairs, the standard expected of the manufacturers for their stairs set to drive quality and safety.

Proving compliance

All companies within the scheme are regularly audited to ensure they meet these high standards, and fire tested for fire protected common stairs.

Through it’s technical sub-committee and consulting with the wider membership, the scheme is redefining information and standards in the marketplace.

The BWF Stair Scheme provides marketing support directly to members and actively promotes the scheme in the market place through this website, scheme resources and seminars.

Network

The BWF Stair Scheme meets three times a year (in addition to the various sub groups) to bring manufacturers together to debate common problems and find effective solutions.
